Terms of Use

A web application that helps you track apiaries, hives, inspections, tasks, and seasonal beekeeping work. It includes an AI assistant (powered by Anthropic's Claude) that draws on a curated knowledge library and the data you log.

Inara is provided as-is. The operator makes no promises about uptime, accuracy of AI suggestions, data preservation, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Do not rely on Inara's AI suggestions as the sole input for high-stakes hive decisions. The agent draws on a corpus of beekeeping literature but it is not a substitute for an experienced mentor, a local extension agent, or your own observation. Treatment timing, queen decisions, and disease identification benefit from a second opinion.

You own the records, photos, and notes you create. The operator stores them so the app works; the operator does not claim ownership of your content. See the Privacy page for what we do (and do not) do with it.

By using Inara you agree:

• Not to attempt to access other users' or other teams' data.
• Not to use the chat assistant to generate content that would violate Anthropic's usage policies (illegal activity, deception, abuse, etc.).
• Not to scrape, automate, or stress-test the app in ways that affect others.
• That AI tool outputs are best-effort and may be wrong. You apply professional judgment to your bees.

You can delete your account from Settings → Account at any time. The operator may suspend or terminate accounts in cases of abuse or violation of these terms, or shut down the service entirely with reasonable notice. We will provide a data export on request if the service is being discontinued.

The operator is not liable for losses arising from use of Inara — colony losses, misjudged treatments, harvest miscalculations, missed inspections, or anything else. Use the app as a helpful companion, not as the deciding authority.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged in the app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, where the operator resides. Disputes (if any) resolve in Kentucky courts.
